Immediate Openings for Expanding Program

Elkhart & St. Joseph Counties Head Start Consortium

 

Early Head Start Manager:  Must hold a B.A. Degree or higher in Infant Toddler focus and knowledge of the HighScope Curriculum.  Minimum of 1 year of Head Start Performance Standards experience, 3 years knowledge and experience in child care licensed center management.  Must be motivated, have excellent commutation skills, advanced computer skills, able to travel, and manage staff in a complex educational system.  Organizational skills are a must; bilingual a plus.

HR Manager: Must hold a BA in Human Resources Management or certified in HR.  Experience preferred in maintaining personnel files, resource management, enforce and develop HR Policies and Procedures, manage the training and development aspect of the program, and organizational and computer skills a must.

Early Head Start Teacher:  Must hold a CDA or Associates Degree with an Infant and Toddler focus.  Organizational and communicational skills needed; bilingual a plus.

Head Start Teacher:  Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.  Organizational and communicational skills needed, bilingual preferred. 

Head Start Teacher Assistant:  Must hold a CDA or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.  Organizational and communicational skills needed.  Bilingual preferred.

Head Start Paraprofessional:  Must hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.  Classroom experience with infant/toddlers and/or preschoolers, other Head Start programs, or public schools preferred; this position is approximately 12 hours per week with no benefits.

Day to Day Floating Substitutes:  Must hold a High School Diploma or equivalent or a CDA.  Classroom experience preferred; this position will be on an as needed basis with no benefits, required to travel.
